Hi Friends!
Welcome and thank you for being one of the first subscribers to my newsletter. Here is another Friday Recs weekly post. A list of all the things I found worthwhile this week. Feel free to forward this along to friends.
It’s the end of the week! Here’s a fun video if you watched Phineas and Ferb as a kid!
A movie I’m watching
Last weekend, my girlfriend and I decided to marathon the Final Destination franchise.
I remember watching these movies back in the day and rooting for the characters to find death’s “formula” or “design”. But through this rewatch, I realize there’s no design. There’s no formula. It’s death after death after death. Mindlessly.
Remember the mess of a movie that was Everything Everywhere All At Once (EEAAO)?
PS: I don’t mean that in a bad way.
This movie is exactly that. A fast-paced, chaotic but orderly movie. Except, instead of multiverse theories, it’s about acting, actors and moving from the times of silent movies to where we are now which they cleverly termed "Talkies”.
Unlike EEAAO, I liked Babylon and I do recommend it. Please watch the 3 hours entirely and not in bits as I did. You’ll get a better experience that way.
An added bonus: don’t expect to understand a movie entirely from its trailer
Video I’m enjoying
A DOER's approach to PROCRASTINATION by Alex Hormozi
I love Alex Hormozi’s content. I watch a ton of his videos and stay up to date. But, this is probably his best piece for me. I’m not going to say anything about the video, because I don’t know how to do the idea in it any justice. Trust me, I’ve tried IRL.

Video of the Week
Here’s another self-plug of my recent YouTube video How to Build an Emergency Fund as a Student FAST: My 1000 Euro Saving Plan
In this video, I talk about building an emergency fund and how I built one of 1000 euros.
Please drop a comment about what you think 😁. I’ll be replying to all of them 😉.
Quote I’m thinking about
“….The one trait I see over and over again that is clear to the people that are winners, the top one percent. Not top ten percent but the top one percent is the speed with which they execute after making a decision.
…
The difference of power as I understand it, is the gap between thoughts becoming reality. So if you thought about an omnipotent being, someone who has unlimited power. As they think, that thing would be…”
